The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of a single Power Plate® machine session on stretch reflexes involved in knee joint control. 23 healthy subjects participated in this study. The Power Plate group significantly improved in forward-backward movement in the knee joint compared with the control group. The short latency responses of the hamstrings (an important factor for functional knee stability) also improved significantly compared with the control group.
Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that a single session using the Power Plate® machine results in improved knee stability.
