The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of a single Power Plate® machine session on forward split flexibility. 10 young male gymnasts participated in this study. The participant performed two forward split exercises, one leg with and the other leg without vibration. The pre- and post-difference scores were determined between the vibrated split (7.9cm improvement) and non vibrated split (3.9cm improvement), and showed a significant difference.
Conclusion: The results of this study show that vibration and stretching increases range of motion more than stretching alone.
