The aim of this study was to investigate and compare the effect of a 24 week period of Power Plate training with Power Plate + cardio training on the reduction of cellulite. Fifty-five subjects participated in this study. The Power Plate group performed an 8-13 minutes Power Plate session only, 2 to 3 times a week. The Power Plate + cardio training group performed the same Power Plate session plus a 24-48 minutes cardio training, 2 to 3 times a week. After 24 weeks the Power Plate only group showed a cellulite reduction of 25,7%. These results were reached in 11 hours of exercises and massages. The Power Plate + cardio training group showed a cellulite reduction of 32,3%. These results were reached in 40 hours of exercises.
Conclusion: This study proves that easy, simple and efficient Power Plate® Training can defeat cellulite; it can accelerate and enhance collagen remodeling, improve circulation, increase lean tissue, help people to lose fat, and reduce the size of buttocks, thighs and calves. The weight of the participants and circumference of their legs significantly decreased as well.
