Red Light Method + Power Plate : Creating a Scalable Wellness Franchise Built Around Recovery and Whole-Body Vibration

Founded in Bentonville, Arkansas in 2022, Red Light Method®️  was created to deliver a more integrated approach to wellness, recovery and body transformation. What began as a proof-of-concept studio centered around red light therapy quickly evolved into a multi-modality wellness franchise with Power Plate®️ at the core of the member experience.

Initially launched as “Red Light Gym,” the concept started with a single Power Plate®️ my5™️ unit as founder Allison Beardsley explored how vibration training could enhance recovery, movement and overall results. As member demand and engagement grew, the business model evolved into what is now Red Light Method, a structured wellness concept combining red light therapy, Power Plate whole-body vibration and Pilates-based movement into one streamlined experience.

Today, Power Plate serves as a foundational component of the brand’s signature “1-2-3 Method.”

Members begin with a 25-minute red light contour wrap session, followed by a 10-to-15-minute guided Power Plate class designed to amplify circulation, activation and recovery benefits. At select locations, the experience concludes with a 15-minute Pilates Reformer session. Newer locations are also beginning to incorporate additional wellness and recovery modalities including EWOT (Exercise with Oxygen Therapy) training and testing of the new Power Plate REV™️  bike.

The integration of Power Plate helped shape both the member experience and the scalability of the overall concept. Rather than positioning vibration training as a secondary add-on, Red Light Method built it directly into the operational and programming framework of the business.

“Power Plate is an incredible wellness catalyst that helps people move better, feel better and live better,” says Beardsley. “Its integration into the Red Light Method program delivers amplified results in less time, which is exactly what wellness consumers are looking for.”

That positioning has helped fuel rapid expansion.

Red Light Method currently has 16 open locations, with nine additional studios in presale and approximately 70 locations in development. The company projects 25 open locations by the end of the year.

Each studio operates multiple Power Plate my5 units, typically ranging from four to 10 units depending on location size and layout. In total nearly 100 Power Plate my5 units have been integrated across the growing franchise system to date.

According to the brand, member response to Power Plate has been one of the strongest differentiators within the overall experience.

“Our members love the Power Plate,” says Beardsley. “It is definitely the core offering.”

Red Light Method reports that members have associated the combined approach with benefits including weight loss, reduced inflammation, improved circulation, better sleep, increased energy, faster recovery and improved mobility. The company also notes strong anecdotal feedback related to sciatic pain relief, arthritis support and overall improvements in daily movement and well-being.

The partnership is a bellwether of the broader evolution happening across the wellness industry, where consumers are increasingly seeking efficient, results-driven experiences that combine fitness, recovery and longevity-focused modalities into a single offering.

As Red Light Method continues its national expansion, Power Plate remains central to both the brand identity and the member experience, serving as a core component of the company’s wellness methodology and long-term growth strategy.
