When Is It Too Late To Build Stronger Bones?
New research, conducted directly on a Power Plate pro5, offers more insight and support to the idea that our body can recover and even regenerate at most stages of life.
ESPECIALLY when you develop the Power Plate habit.
A newly published 2026 study found that postmenopausal women with osteoporosis increased their femoral bone mineral density by 1.56% after using a Power Plate Pro5 three times a week for six months.
The change—from 0.7367 to 0.7482 g/cm²—was statistically significant.
Researchers also measured osteocalcin, a marker associated with bone formation and remodeling. Osteocalcin increased significantly during the Power Plate program, while the measured marker of bone resorption did not change significantly.
==>> In plain English, the women did not merely slow the loss of bone. The study measured increased bone density alongside increased bone-forming activity.
That is what the study showed.
But here is what may be even more interesting.
These women used Power Plate three times a week for six months.
What happens when someone uses it consistently for two years, five years, or ten years?
This study cannot answer that question. But it raises it.
At Power Plate, we hear from customers almost every day who have used their machines consistently for years and report remarkable changes in how they move, feel, recover, and function.
Those experiences are anecdotal rather than structured clinical evidence. But they are increasingly consistent with what studies like this one are beginning to measure.
And consistency is where Power Plate may have an enormous practical advantage.
You do not have to drive to a doctor’s office. You do not have to make an appointment. You do not have to pack a bag and go to the gym. If you have a Power Plate at home, it is simply there.
You walk over and stand on it.
Then perhaps you do a few squats. You put your hands on it and do some push-ups. You stretch. You add a little weight. What began as a few minutes becomes a routine, and the routine becomes a habit.
That matters because the most effective health intervention is often the one you will actually continue doing.
==>> Power Plate is unusually good at becoming a habit because it feels good.
You can feel your muscles activating. You can feel the increase in circulation. You step off feeling awake, loose, and ready to move. The immediate experience reinforces the behavior long before a future bone-density scan can show the result.
And if you originally bought Power Plate because you were concerned about your bones, bone health is only the beginning.
The same mechanical stimulus that reaches bone also activates muscle. It stimulates circulation. It supports lymphatic movement. It challenges balance and proprioception. It can help the body produce nitric oxide, supporting healthy blood flow. It encourages movement, and movement often leads to more movement.
That is the Power Plate cascade.
You may begin by standing on it for your bones. Then your legs feel stronger. Your balance improves. You start moving more confidently. You add an exercise. You recover more easily. The machine becomes part of the day, and the benefits begin to compound across multiple systems.
Power Plate is not inexpensive. But it is also not a single-purpose purchase. You are not buying something that addresses one part of the body while ignoring everything else. You are creating a daily point of activation for muscle, bone, circulation, balance, recovery, and movement.
The 2026 study gives us an important new piece of evidence: even in postmenopausal women with established osteoporosis, bone remained responsive.
Six months of supervised Power Plate exercise, three times a week, produced a measurable increase in femoral bone mineral density.
Your bones are living tissue. They are still adapting...and so is the entire rest of your body. If there is a mission or agenda here at Power Plate-- it's that it is NEVER too late.
